Meet the Trainer

Hi! My name is Christy. I am the owner/trainer of Whimsical Pup.

I want to be able to help your family train your dog and make a lasting change. I want you to be able to life the lifestyle you want with your dog. 

I will be straight forward and honest with you. You are busy and your time matters. Let's get you that dream dog!

You will get me, my time, my knowledge, and my passion for helping people live the best life possible with their dog. I love to make it a fun experience for you and your dog. 

My passion for dog training started when I was a kid. During my parent's divorce our dog, Ace, became a way for me to heal. I trained her how to walk on a leash, general obedience, and how to pull me on a bike (bikejoring). I know how dogs can help change our lives for the better, we can also have the same impact on our dog's life as well.

Several years ago we adopted an adult dog from a high capacity shelter. A couple of months in she became barrier aggressive with our other dogs and mouthy with the kids. We knew we needed to make a change to help her, so we hired an amazing trainer that trained us. She took me under her wing, teaching me while I worked for her. 

I attend workshops and seminars, read books, listen to podcasts, and have professional mentors in the dog training industry to help me better help you.
